Windows 10 to release in autumn 2015 Microsoft COO Kevin Turner says

While there hasn’t been an official word from the company before, ZDNet’s Mary Jo Foley had claimed that Microsoft could be launching Windows 10 a tad earlier around spring next year.
Microsoft won’t be releasing the latest Windows 10 operating system to consumers until autumn of 2015. The company’s COO Kevin Turner told Japanese news publication Nikkie (via Reuters) that the new operating system would be released “early next fall.”

By next late Summer and early fall we’ll be able to bring out this particular OS (operating system). That’s the current plan of record, Turner Revealed at the Credit Suisse Technology Conference last Thursday. If the company indeed releases Windows 10 in autumn, it won’t be the first time it released its flagship desktop operating system at that time of the year. Windows 8 too was launched during the same time in 2012.

Unveiled in September, Windows 10 is the Latest operating system for desktop, tablet, phone, as well as gaming platform Xbox and IoT. The company has already released a technical preview of the operating system for desktop platform which highlights several of Windows 10’s new features. The company reportedly has plans for an event in January to show off more of the consumer-related features.
